10 Reasons to embrace winter!

10 Reasons to embrace winter!

I think just about everyone has a love, hate relationship with winter! For me, I like the idea of it and the fashion that goes with the seasonal change but would gladly see the back of it after two or so weeks.

Hence the reason I think some winter inspiration could do us all some good!

1. LAYERS

If you're reading this blog, chances are, you like clothing. What could be better than having an excuse to layer them up? Layers on layers of warm cosy goodness!

2. LONGER SHOWERS

No more feeling guilty about taking too long in the shower or bath! Turn that heat up and take your time, you deserve it.

3. AU NATURAL

Winter = pants! Hooray, we can all go a few extra days without shaving and hide under our layers.

4. ENJOY THE SHORTER DAYS

Although most of us think of this as a negative, it's a great excuse to end your day early and find some more ME TIME. Grab a blanket and spounge for a couple of hours before snuggling up in bed.

5. BUGS, BE GONE

Throw your hands up and show me your best happy dance. All of those naughty flies have stopped using your ceiling as a toilet, not to mention an easy nights sleep without being eaten alive!

6. RAINY DAYS

I don't know about you, but I adore the sound of rain. It soothes the soul and is like therapy for the ears. The only thing better than falling asleep to the sound of the sea.

7. PHOTO HEAVEN

There is definitely something special about the light on a chilly morning. Especially when living on the coast & it is accompanied by a distinct fog across the sea.

8. CUDDLES

Whether it's your partner or your dog, there's always more hugs to go around in colder weather! Are you the big or the small spoon??

9. SMELLS

There are so many gorgeous smells that come to mind when I think of winter. Whether you are a fire bug, a candle fiend or obssessed with essential oils, your house is going to smell beautiful all season long.

10. FOOD

Not that we need an excuse to indulge in treats and edible goodness, but it's so much more enjoyable when it warms you up after being out in the cold.
